"At Woodford Halse C.E. Primary School
Children Really Matter"

Woodford Halse C.E. Primary School
Mission Statement

Woodford strives for excellence in everything we do. We will maintain a happy, secure Christian environment where all members of the school feel valued, guided and supported, so that they reach their full potential.

We welcome children from all backgrounds and abilities. Our curriculum is tailored to meet individual needs and aspirations, which ensure all our pupils are excited by, and fully involved in the learning process.

Each child's progress is monitored regularly, so we can provide extra support and new challenges wherever they are needed.

From an early age our pupils enjoy becoming confident in using modern technologies to support and enhance their learning. Our extensive ICT facilities include a 20 station ICT suite, pods of computers in every classroom, high quality video cameras, class sets of digital cameras or interactive whiteboard in every classroom with secured internet access.

Our extra curricular activities add to the quality of our provision. All pupils have access to an array of clubs including, film, gardening, football, martial arts, ballet, music tuition, and swimming clubs to name a few.

We take pride in the fact we are a Forest School and use our extensive outdoor area fully within our curriculum to enhance the learning process, making it real, exciting and engaging for all our children. In addition to this, we are also an ECO school and fly our flag proudly. Our children have a real understanding of environmental issues both locally and internationally.

We want our pupils to feel safe, healthy, happy and successful. We nurture strong links between home and school and value support and contributions from parents and members of the local community. We invite you to join our thriving FSA (Friends of the School Association), which brings families together to support the school financially and socially. We also offer family learning opportunities where you can find out about how to support your child at home and extend your own skills.

"We want all our children to be safe, happy and to reach their potential"
